weirdly enough, i was so submerged into your nostalgia that i never noticed that i have also lived life the same way. and things have often surprised me, proving me wrong.
You wrote this all based on your experience of eating jamun??( A fruit that are tiny shots of heaven imo, and it is as unpredictable as our lives, you can't guess if it is going to be sour as to pop your eyes open wide or sweet as honey) i love the way your brain works, plus the jumpscares & random facts?? I love them (not the jumpscares, not nice) this was a very fun yet insightful read, keep writing & keep growing. 🤍
I laughed out loud at the captions. The chameleon critique is on point. And there is nothing, nothing scarier than a clown. But to have it on a park swing is another level of sinister. And needless to say the article was a fun read.
Im a jamunpaglu so I loved this. I’m so glad I gave baigan bharta a second chance a couple of years before my dadi died. Because she would make it constantly and I would hate it constantly, without ever tasting it, just based on the icky texture it showed. So glad I tried it one random day.
After reading your piece I am actively on the hunt for things to try again. 🫶🏼
I have recently joined the jamun enjoyer clan and had the same views about baingan bharta a few years ago xD I am so glad the essay made you hung for things to try again, would be looking forward to hearing about it!! :)
you're so brilliant at articulating!
Thank you so much for reading and for your kind words as always!! :)

Such delightful writing! I never thought I'd feel so bad for chameleons, but here we are. And those jumpscares 10/10.

Thank you so much sir!! It means a lot more coming from you :)
“I didn't think of how many Jammu I could have had over the years if I wasn't strict with my prejudices”……. Then you wouldn’t have shared this…..
Ofcourse, that is something that remains in mind but only as a reminder to do more and more, but not as regrets or what ifs
I'm so glad you liked it, thank you for taking out the time to read! :)
